
Adam has 12 years of science teaching experience in Virginia public schools. He has taught a wide variety of courses across subjects, including biology, chemistry, earth science, AP Environmental Science, ecology, genetics, and nature literature. He also taught summer classes in natural history for Nature Camp in the George Washington National Forest for eight summers and has worked as an AP exam reader for the College Board. Adam graduated from William and Mary with undergraduate degrees in Biology and Environmental Science, and again the following year with a Master of Education. While in Williamsburg, Adam worked in a marine biology lab studying the predation behaviors of blue crabs. Outside of the classroom, Adam enjoys immersing himself in the outdoors on rock-climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, and paddling trips.
